liar liar..

I'm sorry I have neglected this blog.. I was watching ugly betty last night and she was talking about blogs. Suddenly I have the mood to write something :)

Lets talk about liars. Have you ever met someone who loves telling big lies? Not the occasional white lies, but stories that are completely made up, just for fun. I know some people ;) but to choose a winner, I have to say this guy I met in Melbourne.

I was with my friend, sipping our favourite drinks at Starbucks. We sat at the sofa and this local guy came and asked if the other sofa was available. I just nodded and continue chit chatting with my friend and we didn't realize that the guy was eavesdropping.

Guy: I'm sorry to interrupt. But where are you from? Malaysia?

I looked at my friend. Since I'm from Malaysia, I said "Yes but she's from Indonesia"

Guy: Oh I was there last year. I went to Pulau Langkawi. Beautiful place!

Me: Yup it is beautiful. (Trying to end the conversation but he just kept on talking about Langkawi and my friend won't help me lol)

Guy: Are you girls studying here?

Me: Yes it's exam week, we're finishing our course

Guy: You know, I'm a masseuse. I bet you girls are stressed out. If you ever need a massage, I could come to your apartment and give 1. Don't worry I'm a professional.

Me: Er.. no it's OK. We are fine.

Guy: Can I have your number?

Me: I'll just give you my email.. if that's ok

Cutting the story short, the next morning I turned on my laptop, and got an invitation from the starbucks guy.
I accepted and he was online.

Guy: Hi there. May I know who is this? I saw your email in my husband's phone last night.
Me: Oh this is Farrah. I met your husband at starbucks yesterday.
Wife(apparently): Who are you?
Me: I'm sorry, I was approached by your husband. He was offering a massage
Wife: What do you mean massage??
Me: He told me he's a masseuse, he went to Langkawi for a massage training?
Wife: No. We went to langkawi for our honeymoon.

I didn't know what to reply. Seeing their profile picture, the 2 of them hugging each other at their wedding, I know she was not lying. Suddenly she went offline. I quickly removed and blocked them from my MSN contacts. I hope she gave that big fat liar husband of her a punishment.

That's my story about liars.. I'm glad I didn't fall for his lies!
